You know, dash-dash <press spacebar> and then press <Enter> or maybe <Enter> is marked <Return> on your machine. You can tell if you have it right, in your Edit Mail Message window, by pressing Back Space after you have the sig done. The Back Space will show you the invisible extra space after the two dashes, by not putting your cursor right up against them. Sorry if I'm describing it poorly. Do please keep trying.
