In a nutshell, IMAP allows you to seamlessly manage your mail from
multiple machines. Despite working from different machines, all mail
is still at a single location, i.e., on the IMAP server. Webmail
achieves a similar effect, but with WebMail, you can't work with
clients like TB!.

If you do manage your mail from multiple locations and have tried
IMAP, you're very likely to not look back ... at POP3.
