Then I copied the new files, from the 2nd folder, to the original one. In every step, I tried to launch TB and it always worked. Finally I copied the files from the 3rd folder that were not in the original (files that didn't come in the rar file), like the Images and Speller folder, the language files, etc. TB launches very quickly and has been working with no problem. What I find strange is that the contents of C:\Program Files\The Bat!\ is now the same it was after I unpacked the rar file. Why didn't it work then, and why is it working now?
