I side with Stuart that you, not us, should assign the priority. While
I'm not currently using a beta, I read every message of this list.

I agree with all of the above, and am very happy that this doesn't
mean that old bugs are forgotten. I got the "fixed" report on some
bugs I monitor, for example the accessability for screen readers.

Of course. But many reporters are not IT professionals, that's why
their reports don't include everything you need to know to pinpoint
and fix it. That's a normal developers' problem. People just want it
to work, but don't really know why it doesn't.

There is a question I have: I thought that when a bugreport is added,
it generates a mail to the developer which it is assigned to. That's
why I sometimes add a bugreport to an old bug. I just want it not
forgotten. Is that wrong?

I also think that bugs should be reported on this list first, and only
when confirmed, should be added to the bugtracker. I see bugs in the
bugtracker that where not reported here previously.
