I side with Stuart that you, not us, should assign the priority. While I'm not currently using a beta, I read every message of this list. 9> I hope my point was clear enough, but here is a little resume: 9> 1. first of all we should respect each others opinion 9> 2. bugtracking is done in different levels 9> 3. bugs of current beta-serie automatically have higher priority I agree with all of the above, and am very happy that this doesn't mean that old bugs are forgotten. I got the "fixed" report on some bugs I monitor, for example the accessability for screen readers. Thanks. :-) 9> 4. bugs will be fixed faster with detailed reports 9> 5. less information to analyse = more productive work (both for 9> bugtrack, where is a lot of "dead" bugs and for list, 3 9> confirmations is enough) Of course. But many reporters are not IT professionals, that's why their reports don't include everything you need to know to pinpoint and fix it. That's a normal developers' problem. People just want it to work, but don't really know why it doesn't. 9> My suggestion is quite simple - if the bug will be not fixed in 9> next 3 betas, it *must* be added to bugtrack. There is a question I have: I thought that when a bugreport is added, it generates a mail to the developer which it is assigned to. That's why I sometimes add a bugreport to an old bug. I just want it not forgotten. Is that wrong? I also think that bugs should be reported on this list first, and only when confirmed, should be added to the bugtracker. I see bugs in the bugtracker that where not reported here previously. -- Cheers, Thomas.
