I don't believe the RFCs allow for the headers to consist of multiple lines. If the line is over a certain length, it is "folded", but contains a certain (documented) format to allow mail clients to unfold it correctly. If you were seeing a carriage return in the subject header, as well as the normal line feed, then the sending mail client, or anything that might have tampered with the mail in between, has broken the message. -- Jonathan Angliss <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
