Create a new Common Virtual Folder. Select a folder to watch.
Set 'Fast Search' on the filters tab and check 'Unread' OK your way out. Got to the watched folder and mark something unread. You'll notice that the new CVF shows an unread message. Go to the CVF and highlight the message in the message list and wait. After 2 seconds the message will be marked as read.
