You cannot yet directly assign shortcuts to the menu items. You can
assign them to a tool bar; having done that, in some cases, you can
then remove them from the tool bar and they will function as though
they were entered in the menu. However they are not shown against the
menu item.

1. Right click on the Tool bar.
2. Click on 'Customise'.
3. At RHS of the 'Select container' pane, click on the small 'down arrow' and
select and click on the tool bar name where you want to put the 'Mark
   as Junk' name.
4. In the 'Available items' pane, click on '+' to expand MsgCtl.
5. Scroll down to find 'Mark as Junk'.
6. Click on 'Mark as Junk'.
7. In the centre column of icons, click on the right arrow icon.
8. Click on the new 'Mark as Junk' item in the 'Current items' pane.
9. Click next to 'None' in the small pane below 'Shortcuts' on the
   RHS
10. Use the shortcut keys you want to apply. (NB. One cannot yet use
certain keys, e.g. 'Enter' or 'Space')
11. Click on the 'Assign' button.
12. Click on 'X' to close.
13. Click on 'YES' to save and apply the new shortcut.
