I don't see that problem, after all its your own responsibility what you
click/open/save. If you don't have a virus scanner and receive a virus in
an email message, TB can't keep you from clicking & saving the malicious
attachment either.

TB could pop up a warning message for dangerous file types, just like the
one you see when you click on a local attachment.
