Thank  you George. I had English set in Regional Options, and Greek in
"Language  for non-Unicode programs". Changing the Regional Options to
Greek  solved  the problem. However, I fear that now it may cause some
problems  for  me  with  other applications, especially the display of
long date format in Excel.
