Hello Peter,

SM>>> I ask for confirmation first and for Bugtrack Report creation by

SC>> I see. I was wondering why you would perform such a search. Do you
SC>> know that if you double click on a correctly formatted mid that it

SC>> <mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

SC>> This allows you not to have to do a search in the search box.

PP> Sure, but requires a certain format. If one gets a message "Have a
PP> look in message with ID <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>." You need to search
PP> manually, because The Bat! has no function, e.g. in context menu of
PP> "supposed to be" mail-links like 40tude, 'search MID'. This function
PP> of course would make live easier in such cases, but until than one
PP> need to use <F7> ;-)

Yes it would be nice to be able to follow by a RMB selection. You
could copy the <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, start a new message, do a paste,
type mid: after the <, and then double click the result. It is
probably just as fast as trying to type it all into search.

PP> And I really see the reason why I can't search for a complete header
PP> line, *including* header name. Maybe I want to search for 'X-My-Field'
PP> containing 'foo' or 'bar' or 'stupid nonsense' or 'nothing'. And I
PP> don't want to use 'matchs' because I'm a lousy regexp writer ;-)

PP> Ohh ... I've just found an even better example ;-) Your mail contained
PP> 'X-Country: CA'. You don't really want to search for *every* 'CA' in
PP> any header field, and find them all, just to find messages with this
PP> header set as in your mail, don't you? ;-)

Yes, again it would be nice if the Search worked the same way as
Sorting Office does with:
Search "Header Field" "Message-ID" for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Then we
could all be happy. :)
