Hello all, This morning I received an e-mail from a client and, when I replied to him, I got the following error:
---------------------------
Edit Mail Message -> GarznLpez, Antonio <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
---------------------------
Message has not been sent. Server reply - Invalid RFC821 mailbox specification.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Looking at what the problem could be I noticed that the From field in
client's message was in the form:
Lastname, Name <address>
As you can see in From_3518.png, the Lastane, Name part is not enclosed
in quote marks (which, as I understand, TB should do when displaying
it). Because of this, when I reply the To: field is set by TB without
the quote marks either, as you can see in Reply_3518.png. Then, when
sending this reply, is when I get the error mentioned above.
I tries the 3.5 release version with exactly the same errors. I did not
try with any of the RCs or betas, but I di go back all the way to my
good old 3.0.2.10 and, as you can see in From_30210.png and
Reply_30210.png, the Lastname, Name is properly enclosed in quotation
marks in From: when the received message is displayed and also in the
To: field of the reply. Therefore, when using 3.0.2.10, no error is
generated and my reply was sent without any problem.
If someone can confirm this problem I will open a BT report for it.
TIA.
