IIRC, there was a problem with one of the very early betas of the 2.x, or 3 versions that I was able to overcome by using full synchronisation. Those settings have stayed with me. Perhaps it's time that I reviewed all my different account settings. I think this is another case of not knowing how all the settings really work.
