The size of the installation file is rather irrelevant. The executable file went through a McDonald diet I believe: thebat.exe version 1.41 = 3,091,968 bytes thebat.exe version 3.5.25.0 = 10.827.064 bytes!!! Just for fun, I started this old version again and almost everything I *do* actually need (I don't use IMAP) was already available, just much much quicker, using a fraction of the actual memory. 3.5 version is definitely not three times better than 1.41 was; I just wonder what happened. The developers probably didn't bother to get rid of old useless routines and wrote new code on them, very much in the Microsoft way. Or am I wrong? Regards -- FRANCIS J.
