Hello List, could somebody please try to verify my observation and confirm the bug?
I tried to set up 'Ctrl+<' as shortcut for 'Go to next unread mail'. As customization dialogue will not accept it I edited 'tbuser.def' I inserted 'shirtcut "Ctrl+<"' on appropriate line, saved, closed and tried to open The Bat!. There I got two AVs: ,----- [ ] | Die Ausnahme "unknown software exception" (0x80000003) ist in der | Anwendung an der Stelle 0x00a857bc aufgetreten. `----- (basically it says: "unknown software exception in application at 0x00a857bc") ,----- [ ] | Exception EExternalException in module theBat.exe at 006857BC. | External exception 80000003. `----- As tbuser.def modification was the only thing I changed I had a second look, recognized my type and corrected it. The AVs went away. So basically it's my fault, to make the typo. But I think TB! should be a little (a lot?) more tolerant to this kind of human errors, in worst case it could simply ignore whole 'tbuser.def', better would be (IMHO) to simply ignore the wrong line, but never it should refuse to start up, especially with this kind of AV. Thanks, -- Regards Peter Palmreuther (The Bat! v3.5.26 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2) Karaoke is the Japanese word for "tone deaf". ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.5.26 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
