It's not so designated. The designation is 3.5.

However, when you download from the public page, the version
downloaded is v. 3.5.30--the current beta which I am running. You can
verify that by clicking on The Bat!/Download at RitLabs website. The
dialog box says 3.5.30.

The reason for this--and it's a good one--is to make sure that the bug
which would not let some people run The Bat! in versions
3.5.25-3.5.29 was fixed for public users as well as beta-testing
users.

But, 3.5.30 wipes out people's BayesIt anti-spam function. So, I think
we can soon look for a beta version which fixes that--here on the beta
list, I mean.

And the point of my post to Vili was that there should be ample time
given to test this next beta, before that version with the fix is
offered on the public page.

When there's a major crippling fault in a version, and that version is
on the public page, it does make sense to put a corrected version up.
But not before the beta testers have time to report any inadvertently
made new crippling faults in the corrected offering.

Not being programmers, I do believe that it's difficult for you and me
to imagine how devilishly hard the job of the development team is.
Can't reasonably expect every last bug to be fixed before a crippling
fault is corrected in what has been offered publicly, I think. :)
