Actually no, I cannot disable the spam filter. You are only allowed
basic and cannot change that.

I just did a test by sending spam to that address and marking it as
spam once it arrived. I now have a Junk Mail entry I did not have
before, so I think my original theory must be wrong, but I will keep
an  eye on it to see.
