What do you mean? Filtering works quite okay, but we (the imap users) assume 
that some problems like "no message loaded" can be caused by filtering.

It gave me exceptions too at some time on XP. But my computer did never froze. 
I had to kill TB! via task manager and try again...

Correct. I don't use any incoming filters in my mail client.

You're right, concerning TB!. The IMAP protocol has something similar to color 
groups in TB!, the flags. Unfortunately, TB! isn't able to handle IMAP flags 
and so you aren't able to display the flags you can set on the server.
Other mail clients are doing better here - they can handle IMAP flags and so 
one can set its "color groups" in his mailer and set them by Fastmails 
(Sieve) filtering system on the server.
