Hi all, what about the support of IDN domain names? IDN-domains are domains with new characters like ä, ö, ü or ß. Domains like müller.de, fußball.de are now possible. For a complete list of the new characters go to this page:
http://www.switch.ch/de/id/idn/chars.html The page is in German, but the new characters are listed. There is a conversion tool at http://www.denic.de/de/domains/idns/tool.jsp This page is also German, but it's really simple to use. hä.de (which isn't possible because it does not have three characters) is xn--h-0fa.de as a ACE-string (for use on the nameserver, mailserver, webservers etc). The whole IDN-thing started on March, 1st 2004, 10 a.m. MEZ. By the way: I don't like this. There will be lots of problems with these new domains. But I also know that someday I'll recieve the first message from an IDN domain name. Also IDN links are not shown as links: http://www.hä.de This issue was mentioned before by Martin Schoch and my, and now more than another year passed. mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] I also search in Bugtrack and did not find any entry.
