I disagree entirely with this. It's kind of like saying that if you
can't keep food down, or have the runs, your heart and lungs should
also shut down.

Legislatures pass bills which cover a whole scheme, and always include
a severability clause, which says that if some court finds that some
part of this bill won't hold up, we want the rest of it to work.

"I'm sorry sir," the waitress reported, "they have run out of
horseradish in the kitchen, and we won't be able to serve any more
beef tonight."
