Well, this quite works. I can save every configuration I want, even with
multiple sorts, but I cannot save only the one I want, that is first by
read/unread status and then by creation time.

If I try any other combination, it works. It seems that setting the first
sort on the "envelope" column, that shows read/unread status, makes saving
changes impossible.

Anyway, going a little further, sorting on the "envelope" column is not a
good idea, because this column does not only show read/unread status, but
also if the mail was signed, replied, forwarded, and so on. So, sorting by
that column produces an order that is not the one I wanted, because it
sorts also by other attributes, putting all replied messages together, all
signed ones together, and so on.

I'd need a sorting rule that considers ONLY read/unread status, so I could
then sort by this value and creation time.

Oh, and all of this fuss is just because timestamps don't have enough
resolution to sort by receive time. :-(
