I use an Athlon 2500+ w/ 1 gig of ram and see little performance difference from good old 3.02.10. Most of the difference is in searching using F7. I regularly build notebooks and can say that even the nVidia and ATI integrated video controllers do not perform as well as their desktop counterparts. I am using an ATI 9550 card w/ 128mb RAM in this machine and it blows away the nVidia chip in my Dell (cough) notebook. I am not partial to either brand but the ATI card was cheaper than nVidia's DirectX 9 card at the time. Having said all of this, it seems there is a local problem on your machine that is more of a problem than the increased power needed by The Bat!. As shown in the sig below, I am still using 3.60.06 because I am unwilling to accept the problems of subsequent versions. -- Take Care, Paul The Bat! v.3.60.06 Forerunner (Beta) on Win2k SP4-Rollup1 5.0.2195 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.61.03 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
