Now that I can't understand. Surely, when you have a Tab, in this case
TBBETA, all it is is a shortcut to that folder. It doesn't change
anything?

You're absolutely right and it's just clicked :-)

and that applies to the folder in question - I thought that the Unread
Tab would apply to all folders but that's what my unread tab in the
Folder pane is for!

'fraid not because, as I've just told MAU, it's now working and must
have been a one off. All unread messages are (at the moment at least)
showing properly.
