Group,

I have the following problem:

I am using a mailserver that forwards newsgroup messages to a pop3 mailbox.
Lately I have discovered that Thebat corrupts attachments that are part of
the newsgroup message.

The original attachment are encoded like this in the news message:

begin 666 grafx03.xls
MT,\1X*&Q&N$`````````````````````/@`#`/[_"0`&```````````````!
M`````0``````````$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]
M____________________________________________________________
.
.
.
M````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
:````````````````````````````````````
`
end

TB converts this to an other encoding format. The message inside TB has the
following encoding:

Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL
PROTECTED]@0D1B7"
.
.
.
.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]@0D1B7
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="grafx03.xls"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

0M8R4KGxGuEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPgADAP7/CQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAQAAAAAA
AAAAEAAAAgAAAAEAAAD+////AAAAAAAAAAD/////////////////////////////////////

If I download the message with 3.60.02 and save the attachment in 3.60.02
the attachment is fine.

When I download the message with 3.61.07 and save the attachment in 3.61.07
the attachment is corrupted.

The problem is not the actual saving of the message but the conversion from
the encoding format.

Has anyone else seen this ?
