3rd party program can't free memory another program is using, unless that program gives up it's memory willingly. To see the program's real memory usage, you need to activate the VM Size column in task manager and look at that. BTW, free memory = useless memory. Modern operating systems work most optimally when only a few (less than 10) MB of physical memory are free (assuming of course that the running programs and file cache filled the rest of memory). -- < Jernej Simoncic ><><><><>< http://deepthought.ena.si/ > [The Bat! v3.61.09 Echo (Beta) on Windows 2003 5.2.3790.Service Pack 1] Any fool can make a rule, and every fool will mind it. -- Thoreau's Rule ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.61.09 (Echo) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
