I installed PGP Desktop 9.0.2 and immediately ran into a plethora of
issues including, but not limited to, the complete loss of network
connectivity for everything except e-mail.  I figured that didn't bode
well so I uninstalled and went with GnuPG which, as you've described,
works well so far.
