I unfortunately have version 3.62.12 but don't think menu items have
changed between 11 and 12. I'm not exactly sure just what short cut
letter you are referring to!
Here, if I open the 'Account' menu it shows the underscored letter for
Properties as 'P'. If I type the letter 'P' the Properties window
opens, and I think this is meant to be the normal way initiating of
short-cut key operations after a menu is displayed. If I try ALT+P,
then the 'Account' menu closes.
To add to the confusion the Properties item is shown to have a
short-cut key combination Shift+Ctrl+P, which does NOT work - it does
nothing!
There seem to be no underscored letters within the Properties menu.
I hope this helps, I'm not sure that _you_ really have a problem but
there are obviously other things wrong.
