Hi Roelof, thank you for your reply. Or better I have to say: For the ONLY reply. Interesting how the Ritlab guys don't care about such a critical behaviour of their product. I think I'm not the only person who loses folders from time to time. Ok so what, I got used to it since I started writing here...
>> I'm running TB Prof with OTFE, so folder names are encrypted on the hard >> disk. > Yuck, try to encrypt their names. Yeah, it's not possible to encrypt the folder names on the hard disk. What I did now is right clicking on each folder in TB and putting a empty file named as the "real" folder name into the directories on the hard disk. Less security but the only option to re-import the lost folders into TB. >> Also Shift-Crtl-Alt-L does not work (but this is for IMAP only, right?). > It's supposed to work for pop accounts too, but you need to have the > focus on the account tree when using it. Does anybody know what Ctrl-Alt-Shift-L exactly does? And if it hasn't anything to do with getting back lost POP folders is there another way? >> 1) Folders are missing. > That's bad >> 2) With over 100 folders I don't even know what folders are missing. > That's even worse. Yeah. With over 100 folders nobody can tell of all folders are still there. > Well, I've got this idea. > Create a backup with TB. > Install Voyager. > Restore your backup into Voyager with the same password, that's what I > did and guess what. The directory names are the same. > Presuming that TB doesn't backup unknown folders, you've got to > concentrate on the folder names that are lacking Voyager. > BTW You don't need an USB device to install Voyager, a directory on > your harddisk will do fine. Good idea. I tried it in a different way. I did what I described above. Putting a empty file named after the folder name into the directories on the hard disk (took me about 1 hour... great...). Then I looked into every directory and imported those directories with no extra files into my message base and then deleted those directories. Now I have to make hardcopies of the folder list inside TB to compare this hardcopy from time to time with the directories in the hard disk. Great...
