I remember it did say more if the transfer was successful -then the
recipient was namely listed by her/his address. It happens reproducible
here if I send a batch of big mails. When composing them, I queue them
and send all later, one by one. All are sent but the log and the outbox
say contradictorily.

No, I haven't and besides I clean up regularly -since I did send such
mails rather often in advent time, I feared to run out of disk space if
I let all sent mails in the "Sent"-folder. I ran folder maintenance and
saved lots of disk space. But I haven't set a limit and actually I have
9.5 GB of free HD-space on C.
