the only thing an email client can do is visually show you if the email was
verified or not, e.g. Yahoo's web email which does this.

it is up to the receiving email server to verify SPF, DK, or DKIM not the
client. DK and DKIM, as well as SPF require the server to go out to DNS and
get the key and/or policy txt records. IMO, it is not the place for an
email client to do this, but the server.

reference and explanation of what the receiving server does.
