immediately ... And The splash screen comes up ... I ***thought*** I had it shut off by adding -nosplash in the starting command-line ... as seen to the right in that screenshot of Procexp I put up .... anyway, the splash-screen DOES still come on. I wonder if that starts the ddhelp/ddraw programs and associated DLL's also seen in the lower pane of the screenshot ....
