What a nightmare. I decided it was time to clean up my message base on IMAP, since I had about 20,000 messages in my TBOT folder. Did this in conjunction with implementing password protected dummy account to keep messages out of the way.
I started by trying to block all the messages I wanted to move. Got a bunch copied before TB! locked up. Went through this again, locked up again. Killed several hundred duplicate messages in the target folder, and still hadn't marked most of the transferred messages as deleted in IMAP folder. This went on for a long time, while I finally started just trying to move smaller chunks at a time, and still had trouble. Sometimes all the messages moved got marked for deletion, sometimes none. The most annoying part was the times when I had to sit and wait for several hundred messages to get transferred from IMAP server back into my TBOT folder because they had gotten deleted locally but not marked on the server. -- Dwight A.
