Dear Goncalo, @19-Mar-2006, 10:06 Goncalo Farias [GF] in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] said to Thomas:
>>> Could we have the rules updates in regard to the HTML prohibition? >>> HTML emails are a fact of life now... TM>> big NO! GF> Do you have good reasons or is it just no? There is no reason needed. It is against the rules because they are the rules of the list. Don't assume that just because the mods may be older that doesn't make us out of touch with the trends. HTML email is not a fact of life. It will never be. I accept that you don't mind HTML mail, but there is no consensus and you can already see that every person that was even interested enough to reply to your (misplaced - it should have been off-list) suggestion has said "no". You may want a reason from these people but there's a basic fact that you seem to have forgotten: nobody has to have a reason to "prefer" something. The way us mods want to run the list is no HTML mails without good reason. I still tell my clients and friends not to send me HTML mails and opt for text mails from any subscription lists when available. I'm not alone in this. Please do not discuss list management issues on list in future. There is a [EMAIL PROTECTED] to use for such issues. -- Cheers -- //.arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator and fellow end user TB! v3.72.04 (Beta) on Windows XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 '
