not quite.


during install (the msgbase creation, actually) the following happens:

1. the encryption key is *generated*, based on enough collected random data. this is not deterministic.

2. then, the encryption key is encrypted again, now with a key generated by the master pass only. this is deterministic.


thus, even if the master pass is the same, the encryption keys can be very different on 2 different msgbase instances.
