Get a recent Java Runtime Environment and recognize: At least Java ain't *that* slow you're accusing it to be :-) Graphical User Interface driven programs might need a little time to start up, but once running ... Don't get me wrong: I'm not a "Java defender 'til I die". Every programming language has it's areas of "best efficiencies", but the old "Java s bloody slow" is over since "Swing" was introduced and it's becoming even faster with "SWT". If only the JavaVM-startup-time could be reduced you wouldn't even notice the difference to a (bad programmed) C, C++ or Delphi application most the times. But that's not a Beta-issue, so I'd request follow ups to be directed to TBOT ;-) -- Regards Peter Palmreuther (The Bat! v3.72.05 (Beta) on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2) Assasination is censorship in the extreme. ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.72.07 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
