AFAIK it requires a Bat on both ends, I would have loved to see a
further development in that direction, i.e. P2P-techniques
implementation and more, but I can live without TB doing so. There is
Skype, ICQ and many more.

You send only the text you type, no quote introducer and greetings at
the end, no minusminusdashenter and so on. It is much less formal, to
be compared with a shoutbox in a weblog if you like. I think the
development of this feature was stopped some days after implementing in
into TB's code. No smileys, no further options.

I will keep on using a real chat program if I fell the need for a chat.
I am the only one that experienced this flaw here, so I will refrain
from sending a bug report note.
