Glad I took the time to tell the problem in detail again, then.

Yes. I have one confirmation, from Stuart Hemming.

But unless RitLabs changed something in the Mail Ticker code,
beginning with v. 3.81.03, it's a needle-in-a-haystack search.

If they did make a change in the Mail Ticker code, then they could
simply compare 3.80.06 with 3.81.05 and narrow the cause of the
difficulty down.

That's if they have the time.

I could run v. 3.81.05 without using the Mail Ticker (set it to Hide
before installing v. 3.81.05). And I tried that--but I missed the Mail
Ticker's convenience too much.

I think if RitLabs doesn't fix this in v. 3.82, or before, that I
shall simply continue to run v. 3.80.06 and stop beta testing.

Although, I would, of course, continue reading TBBETA. It's always so
interesting here! :)

I read all the time on TBUDL about problems getting the Mail data base
back after--for any of a variety of reasons--a completely fresh
install of The Bat!

Not sure I want to risk it, just for the ability to keep testing TB!
betas.

If the problem persists in v. 3.82, it's sure to surface in the wider
community of users, I think, and at that point maybe the RitLabs team
will take a look at it.

Thanks a million for all the support and help!
