Yes. But it does it using http. I didn't write you could use it for
anything else than just checking for new version (yet?), but a fact
remains: The Bat! now can connect over http.

And from what Marek writes I can see that it will be possible to
download external images to html mails. And I DO like it. Finally the
newsletters I receive will have the right look!
