I simply didn't try the "Insert Smile" button when it first appeared, because I have most of the smiley handles that I like memorized and it's quicker just to type the handle in. But after reading the reports of trouble with it and, with a little time to spend on testing, I decided to check it out. Multiple things are wrong with it.
