Hello Maggie,
A reminder of what Maggie Meister typed on:

MM> In my editor window there is no special 'toolbar' with the insert
MM> smiley button . Mary has emailed me a picture of what it should
MM> look like tucked just under the header fields. We have compared our
MM> editor/viewer preferences and they are identical. Can someone point
MM> me to the solution?

If you are using microedit, try right clicking on the blank space
beside the menu bar. I get a choice of 2 things Standard and
Formatting. It is the formatting menu that contains Insert Smile. If
it is not there then it could be created under Customize.
