When I restart ClipMate, I can insert a smiley, but on trying to
send it, I get another cascading AV  (did note write down the messge), not
the earlier "unable to draw canvas".

The popup-screen with smilies (takes some time to show up!) now wasn't in the
lower right corner, but still looked a little bit messy. There is a
scroll-bar now, though.

So, if you see a smiley hereunder, then that must have something to do with
the fact that ClipMate has been disabled.

Only one more test after his: disabling ObjectDock Plus and restarting
ClipMate.
