Miguel, I've been following with interest the discussion you and
Richard are having. Although, I've never had any filter problems,
except when I made mistakes in getting the string into the Container
field.

But, then, I'm even simpler than Richard is. My filters consist of one
for each of my senders in the Inbox, moving them to their respective
folders.

And similarly, for those that I want to put copies of my sent messages
to them into their folders, one for each such recipient in the Outbox.

If it's not a message from a sender for whom I've made a filter, it
sits in the Inbox until I deal with it.

Reason for entering this thread:

I need you to tell me in plainer English the meaning of "white and in
a bottle."

Either I'm dense, or I"ve had too long a day, or both. :)
