Hello MAU,

I have been doing more testing and I must clarify some of my initial
statements about this problem.

> I'm having problems using mailto links on web pages. Most times I get no
> response at all, sometimes I get an error dialog telling me that email
> client is not installed properly.

I only got this error dialog once, the first time I tried a mailto link
with 3.86.03 ALPHA. I have not seen this error again.

> If I exit 3.86.03 ALPHA and start 3.85.03, when I click a mailto link I
> get what seems to be an infinite number of "Select the Account" dialogs.
> Then, I cannot even kill TB with Taskmanager. The only way out is to
> shut down (power off) my PC.

After some more testing I must say that "infinite number" is actually
"finite", it depends on the number of links I have clicked. It looks
like the first few times I tried I clicked many links and that is why I
ended up needing Taskmaster or power off button.

If I click let's say on 5 mailto links while running 3.86.03 ALPHA, I
get 5 "Select the Account" dialogs (or 5 new message windows if a
default account is selected) when I start 3.85.03. It looks like the
clicks are being held or buffered somewhere. I have verified this by
clicking on several different links and the proper and different To
addresses are included in the new message windows that are opened when
switching back to 3.85.03.

I must add that I see the same behaviour with 3.86.02 and 3.86.03 ALPHA.

Since others don't seem to have any problem, I must conclude there must
be something specific to my system configuration. But I have no idea
what.

However, I must also conclude that, since I have no problem with 3.85.03
and I do have it with 3.86.02 and 3.86.03 ALPHA, something must have
changed from 3.85.03 to 3.86.02 and 3.86.03 ALPHA.
