Yes. Shouldn't make a difference if a program automatically issues the commands one by one. With the STAT and LIST command you can determine how many messages are on the server, and then use TOP msg n to retrieve the headers of msg only (and not all of them!) and n lines of the body. Hmmm... but then again, if its not about only partially downloading some messages *headers* ... since you know how many messages are on the server, you could just as well only download a portion of them... without downloading all the headers, either... <scratching forehead> (I just don't know if the sorting is always the same, on my POP3 server msg 1 is always the oldest). -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de) Science is a lot of guys in tweed suits cutting up frogs on foundation grants... -- Woody Allen ________________________________________________________ Current ALPHA is 3.86.03 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
