Hello all,

Please refer to my <mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and
<mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> for background information.

The problem is due to the fact that file type associations have been
removed in 'ALPHA' series including this last beta (See
Options/Preferences/Applications). So, when TB starts, it does not
'force' any file type associations and remain as they were before.

So, what! *.EML files should already be associated with TB. Yes, but...
here is where my peculiar configuration is also part of the problem.

I usually keep 2 or more versions of TB in my Programs/The Bat!
directory so I can quickly switch from one to another. 'thebat.exe' is
always the last beta and I rename the others to include the version
number, for example 'thebat38503.exe'.

So, when I execute the last release version 3.85.03, file types are
associated with it and the 'open' command of the file type explicitly
points to the 'thebat38503.exe' executable. See attached PNG. Also, not
shown in PNG, the Application is identified as 'thebat38503'. But when I
execute one of the latest betas, because they don't 'force' file type
associations, and although EML is still associated with The Bat!, the
action to open them is wrong.

I have manually changed the 'open' action and the name of the
application and I can now open *.eml files from the attachments pane of
my editor window.

I am not for the moment opening a BT report because I am assuming the
file type associations will be included again before next release.
