I was just doing some testing and I noticed something odd. TB!
refreshed my IMAP account at 30 seconds after the minute and again at
50 seconds after the minute. Now if my message was received at the 1/2
minute it would refresh and filter 20 seconds later. I then went
looking for settings and found 2 settings in IMAP that allow you to
say how often refreshes should happen. I lowered each to every 10
seconds and either one will have that affect. If I lower both of them
to every 10 seconds they seem to refresh almost constantly.

It seems that both settings have an affect, but I do not know how the
relationship time wise works. For example initially it refreshed with
20 seconds in between and then 40 seconds. I just don't know what
starts the clock. Is it from when TB! starts and/or from the time the
property was set.

If the difference between the 2 refreshes was only 2 seconds, then the
first refresh would get the message and the second would immediately
sort it. But when the 2 refreshes are far apart then it would take a
long time to do the sort.

BTW I have never used the Courier setting, so I don't think it has an
effect for me, but I wonder if by entering the Account properties you
reset one of your timers so it is closer to the other timer.

Don't know if any of this makes any sense, but it would be nice if
9Val could make a comment here. Have not heard from him in ages. :(
