I had something similar with AntiSpamSniper. Over here it was ZoneAlarm 7
that caused the problem. I went back to version 6.1.744.001.
Perhaps he has recently installed/upgraded ZA?
Since I don't use Kaspersky (but if I remember well, it is Kaspersky that
provides the antivirus part of ZA 7...) I can't help you any further.
If he needs to downgrade: Googling will help him find the right instructions.
Many problems have been reported for this version of ZA (new owners, IIRC).
