you - in terms of relying your business mail on it:

* your addresses hosted on 'non-SPF' services are, most likely, in
the spam blacklists already.
now, to return to gmail.
for non-tech users, it just turns simpler to get used with that
overwriting than to inspect the SMTP client logs for an explanation of
the refusal.
