Hello all, In a different thread, someone wrote: > TB! handles email imports INCORRECTLY. Period. End of story.
If you have a couple of minutes to spare, I propose a little test or game: 1.- Select a message from a previous date in any of your folders. 2.- Select Tools/Export messages to.. and export the selected message to .msg (or .eml) format. 3.- Now also export the same message to Unix mailbox. 4.- Now import both the .msg (.eml) and Unix mailbox to the same folder as the original to end up with 3 copies of the same message. Now the test: Do a Specials/View Source (F9) for each of the 3 messages, the original and the two imported ones: - Can you find Wallie in any of them? ;) - Can you find any difference whatsoever between any of the three? - Can you find any header line that has been added, deleted or modified by TB? Now look at the 'Received Date' of the 3 messages: - The one imported from .msg should show the date/time of the import. - What's the Received date/time for the one imported from Unix mailbox? It is by any chance exactly equal to the one of the original message? Conclusion: I'll leave it up to each of you what to conclude. -- Best regards, Miguel A.
