Hello, Peter!

> can you please explain, what you are talking about?

I am talking about the strange behavior of the "Attach a file" dialog.

> Which "default file extension"? And where are you "changing" it?

Let's say you want to attach a PNG-file from a folder which only
contains files with the extension PNG.

How it should be: If you click the "Attach a file" icon and open the
regarding folder, you get this [1].

How it looks like on my PC: see [2]

After changing the file extension in this dialog from "*.z07" to the
"correct" value "*.*" I get this [3].

So, my problem is that by default the file extension is *not* set to
"*.*", but to "*.z07". And even files with this extension are *not*
shown. And manually changing the extension to any other value has *no*
effect.

Do you now have a clue about my problem? ;-)
