For artwork, JPEG is ideal - not so for screenshots. >> or much larger than the PNG equivalents. > That depends! Look at these samples: http://eternallybored.org/imgs/pngjpg/thebat.png - 30kB http://eternallybored.org/imgs/pngjpg/samesize.jpg - 33kB http://eternallybored.org/imgs/pngjpg/visible.jpg - 134kB The PNG file is 30kB without me even trying. If I try to save the image as JPEG of the same size, the result is invisible mess, where you can't even read most of the text. Even the 4 times larger JPEG is still visibly lower quality than the PNG file. I'm CCing this to tbot, since it's not really relevant here anymore. -- < Jernej Simončič ><><><><>< http://deepthought.ena.si/ > [The Bat! v4.0.0.11 (ALPHA) on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition 5.2.3790.Service Pack 2] Once a job is fouled up, anything done to improve it only makes it worse. -- Finagle's Fourth Law ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 4.0.0.11 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
